With deepest sympathy as we remember Willie D. Shumpert... Willie D. Shumpert, 75, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at his home. He was born on May 27, 1943 to Jim B. and Ellie Mae Shumpert in Dorsey, Mississippi. He was a beloved member of the Evergreen Community for over 50 years.He is survived by two sons, Daniel LePatrick Shumpert (Toya) of Fulton, MS and Wesley Allen Shumpert (Asya) of Mooreville, MS; two daughters, Melissa Annette Shumpert-Williams (Ezra), of Memphis, TN and Lesley Suezanne Perkins (James) of Birmingham, AL. He also leaves behind three sisters, Helen Shumpert and Jerry Shumpert both of Nettleton, MS; Carrell Enos of Tupelo, MS; three brothers, Glenn Shumpert of Verona, MS, Johnnie E. Shumpert of Oroville, CA and Stuart Shumpert of Nettleton, MS. Fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Millie A. Shumpert; his parents Jim B. and Ellie Mae Shumpert; two brothers Cleophis "John" and Narvell "George" Shumpert and one sister Sarah Whitfield. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 7, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 336 Pleasant Grove Road Dorsey, MS with Minister Andrew L. Green officiating. Burial will be at Heavenly Gates Cemetery in Dorsey. Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 5:00P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at N. L. Jones Funeral Directors. Expressions of sympathy may be left at
