With deepest sympathy as we remember Theodis Foster... Theodis Foster, 65, died on Monday, June 25, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born on November 22, 1952 in Tupelo MS, Lee County to the late George and Katherine Foster. He was the third of 3 children. Theodis attended Siggers High School and graduated from Shannon High School in Shannon MS. He later attended and graduated from Jackson State University. Theodis married Jerlena "Peaches" Pounds on August 16, 1980. He was a devoted and loving husband to Jerlena for 38 years. He was a very loving father to his children and God blessed him to have an overwhelming love for his 5 children. He found Christ at an early age and was baptized at Johnson Chapel MB Church in Shannon, MS. and was a member until death. He was employed at Cooper Tire for 34 years. He loved his job and the people that he worked with. He had a heart for helping others and his hobbies included gardening, golf, and fishing. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Jerlena "Peaches"; his children: Algernon Trice of Jackson, MS, Darrell Griffin of Birmingham, AL, Felicia Freeman, Twana (Alex) Williams, Theodis Foster II, a special son, Raphael Goree, all of Shannon, MS; 3 sisters: Gloria Jean Cheeks of Chicago, IL, Vernola (Tom Henry) Lyles of Shannon, MS, Rae Anderson of Princeton, Texas; 8 grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and several uncles and aunts. Services will be Saturday June 30, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at Johnson Chapel MB Church in Shannon, MS. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday June 29, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at N. L. Jones Funeral Directors. Expressions of sympathy may be left at
