Steven Andre' Johnson, 57, passed away on June 25, 2018 at Diversicare in Tupelo, MS. He was born on August 5, 1960 to William L. and Martha F. Johnson in Laweranceburg, TN. Steven retired from the Mississippi Department of Human Services. He was an avid music lover. He enjoyed singing and he loved antiques. He found excitement in finding old treasures. Steven was an Eagle Scout and Boy Scout Leader for Troops 8, where later his son and godsons became scout leaders. Steven also loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved the story of the Good Samaritan in the Bible and patterned his life after it. He was a member of the North Green Street Church of Christ where he was a deacon. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Alvita Patreasia Johnson, one daughter Lesley Patrice and one son Steven Reed both of Tupelo, MS; his grandchildren Aniyah Johnson and Josiah Blanks; one sister Mary K (Frank) Woodson of Nashville, TN.; five brothers, Randolph (Barbara) Johnson of Spring Hill, TN, Anthony Johnson of Lebanon, TN, Michael (Mary) Johnson of Nashville, TN, Patrick (Denise) Johnson of Lebanon, TN, Richard (Beverly) Johnson of Columbia, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother William Clay Johnson. The family would like to thank Diversicare of Amory and Tupelo for caring for our love one. Services will be Saturday June 30, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. at the North Green Street Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Porters Memorial cemetery.
