With deepest sympathy as we remember Minister Ruby Johnson...
On June 16, 2019, Minister Ruby W. Johnson passed away in her home under the loving care of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and devoted family. Min. Ruby was born in Pontotoc, MS in 1953, to the union of the late Will Mose Watson and Mary Frances Green-Watson. She attended Belden school at an early age and was introduced to Christ at Sherman Grove Baptist. In 1980, she professed her hope in Jesus Christ at Faithful Revival Center. She later became the First Lady of the Church of Faith under the leadership of her loving husband, Pastor John L. Johnson. She was a devoted wife and loving mother to 9 children. Her one true passion was to care for her children and raise them exhibiting the compassion of Christ in each trial and tribulation they faced. She was blessed, through the support of her husband, to be a homemaker until God lead her to the workforce. She worked at Independent Furniture Supply for 20 years, until her health no longer permitted.
She lived a life of righteousness, compassion, love, integrity, forgiveness, willingness to bear the hurt of others, taking responsibility for the shortcomings of those she loved, and as a warrior of prayer. She genuinely loved GOD, more than words can express and never stopped professing his goodness, even as her health declined. Her other hobbies were sewing, playing piano, singing the praises of God, and counseling others.
Min. Ruby leaves to cherish her memories, her husband; Pastor John L. Johnson of Belden, MS, 5 sons; Robert Michael Johnson, John Johnson, Jr. (Sheneka), Jeremiah Johnson, David Johnson, Joshua Johnson, 4 daughters; Cynthia Johnson-Hughes (Tony), Christy Johnson, LaSheena Johnson, Pamlia Johnson-Hereford (Terrance), 21 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 sisters; Mary Jones, Dorothy Prude (Andrew), Sarah Fair, Virginia Hill (Lee), 1 brother; George Watson, a special sister and brother; Kathryn & Roosevelt Cobb, and a host of nieces and nephews.
