With deepest sympathy we remember Mr. Ollie B. Owens...
Ollie B. Owens, Sr. was born October 10, 1942, to Adolphus Owens and Katie Danley in Clarksdale, Arkansas. He was called to heaven on June 11, 2020, at his home.
He attended school at Itawamba Community College where he studied construction. He then pursued a career in construction specializing in concrete, building porches and reconstructing roofing services. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, shining shoes and spending times with grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Lorene C. Dillard, mother Katie Danley, father Adolphus Owens Sr., stepmother Mary Owens, two sisters and three brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memories his fourteen children: Emma Jean Owens, Ollie Mae Owens of Chicago, IL; Ollie Owens Jr., O.D. (Melanye) White of Tupelo, MS, Kenyon (Rafundia) Hill of Okolona, MS, Lawanda(Earvin) Dillard, Arlisha Smith of Tupelo MS, Ricky Darden of Okolona, MS, Michael (LaKeya) Dillard, Johnny (Constance) Dillard, Shikeya (Marcus) Dilworth, Mario (Porsha) Dillard, Christopher (Rashonda) Dillard, and Tiffany (Curtis) Barr, all of Tupelo MS; one sister, Annie C. (Sonny) Owens of Tupelo, MS; two brothers Howard Owens of Tupelo MS, A.C. Owens of West Memphis, AR, seventy-four grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, a special friend Mary Baylock of Okolona, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation: Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 3-5 pm at N.L. Jones Funeral Directors.
