Mitchell Jerome Scales was born May 1, 1975, to Larry and Eulanda Bell. Mitchell Jerome Scales, loving father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many passed away peacefully at his home in Baldwyn, MS on May 5, 2020.
He was the father of three boys Khalil, Mahlik, and Jaylan Scales all of Baldwyn, MS; one step daughter Lamia Shumpert of Verona, MS; four sisters: Calandra Scales, Jodda (Phil) Elkins, Regina (Jeffery) Miller, and Veronica Nabors, all of Baldwyn MS; Mekia Brown of Tupelo, MS; two brothers Mark Bell and Jason Bell, both of Baldwyn, MS; two aunts: Ada Bell and Katoris (Wilmer) Barnett, both of Baldwyn, MS; two uncles: Clyde Bell (Jr.) and Johnny Bell, both of Baldwyn, MS and a host of nieces, and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eulanda and Larry Bell, grandparents: Clyde and Susie Bell, Hettie Bell Young and Billy Scales.
Graveside Service: Saturday, May 16, 2020 @ 1pm, Sand Hill Old African American Cemetery, Baldwyn, MS. Viewing one hour prior.
Walk Thru Visitation: Friday, May 15, 2020 from 3-5 pm at the funeral home.
