Mary Logan was born March 13, 1927 in Itawamba County to Lena Pounds and Emmanuel Weatherspoon. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Jerusalem Baptist Church where she remained until death. She united in holy matrimony with Huey C. Logan on January 12, 1946. Unto this union 10 children were born. She leaves to cherish her memories (2) daughters, Ophelean Pounds and Diann Logan of Nettleton, MS; (5) sons, Emmitt (Glenda) Logan of Plantersville, Purtie Logan of Shannon, Johnny (Lesia) Logan, Ogie Logan and James Logan of Nettleton; (2) sisters, her twin Martha Pounds of Plantersville and Christine Bolden of Detroit, MI; (1) son-in-law; (4) sister-in-laws; (2) aunts; (1) uncle; (20) grandchildren; (33) great grandchildren; (4) great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, (1) daughter, Dorothy McCray; (4) sons, Eddie C. Curley, Charlie M. Logan and Ricky Sykes; (1) grandchild; (1) great grandchild; (6) sisters; and (6) brothers.
