With deepest sympathy as we remember Malcolm Earl Jackson Jr. Malcolm Earl Jackson Jr., 67, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at his son's home in Arlington TN. A native and life-long resident of Tupelo, he was born October 27, 1950 to the late Malcolm Earl Jackson Sr. and Mrs. Leona Hughes Jackson. In 1968, he graduated from George Washington Carver High School then served two years in the United States Army as a Military Police officer during the Vietnam War. He attended Mississippi State University where he met and married Brenda Cobb. To this union two children were born. Malcolm also attended the University of Mississippi School of Law and worked with North MS Rural Legal Services for 14 years. He was a member of Red Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS. Survivors include mother, Leona Jackson; one son, Malcolm Earl (Rita) Jackson III of Arlington, TN; one daughter, Jennifer Jackson of Blue Springs, MS; two brothers- James Larry Jackson of Verona, MS and Patrick Jackson of Tupelo, MS; three sisters- Yvonne Roberts of Pontotoc, MS, Laura Stewart of Pontotoc, MS, and Betty Smith of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Malcolm Earl Jackson IV, Benjamin Lee Jackson, and Carter Alexander Jackson. Services honoring his life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Red Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1215 South Veterans Blvd. Tupelo, MS.
