Kenneth Allen James, 72, of Aberdeen, MS, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on May 1, 2019 in hospice care at NMMC in Tupelo, MS.
A private memorial service was held May 4, in Okolona at the home of his sister. Kenny was of the Baptist faith and knew the Lord, Brother Scott Free of Houston officiated.
Kenny was born on September 4, 1946 in Laurel, MS. He moved to Aberdeen when he was a small child and lived there until he passed. He served in the United States Air Force stationed in Alaska. He retired from Comer Packing Company in Aberdeen. Kenny loved to fish, hunt and spend time with family and friends, especially his only grandchild Brianna James until he was too sick. He had a really good sense of humor and a very positive attitude.
Kenny is survived by his only son Brian Curtis James, granddaughter Brianna Brook James of Tupelo, Sister Laverne Free (Emmett) of Okolona and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Verne Lee James, mother Edna Marion James, and nephew Larry Wayne Free.
