Rev Dr George R Pulliam was born June 7,1943 in Buena Vista,Ms to the late Rev Morgan and Maggie Pulliam. After seventy-three years of fightint the good fight of faith,he departed this life,Monday,April 17,2017 at North Miss Medical Center.Rev Pulliam accepted accepted Christ at a early age and joined Pleasent Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Buena Vista,Ms  In  later years,he joined Big Hill United Methodist Church,Tupelo,Ms Rev Pulliam's life has been devoted to the ministry.His Work in the church and commitment to serving God's people is evident throughout the lives he touched during his 38 years on ministry.In 1975,Rev Pulliam was truly blessed to meet the love of his life,Mary Pulliam.After four blissful months of courship,they were united in holy matermony on December 21,1975.They were truly devoted to one another in every aspect of their lives for forty-one years,He graduated from Houston High School, in Houston,Ms in 1961 and in 1963 he graduated from Okolona Jr College,Okolona,Ms with an A.A degree in Industrial Atrs.He futhered hi education at Lane College in Jackson,TN and graduated with a B.A.in Sociology.In 1982 he received a Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary,Memphis,TN additionally,he was certified in Clinical Pastoral Education at St.Francis Hospital in Memphis ,TN,1985.In 1998,he was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Rust College in Holly Springs,MsHe was Ordained Elder
