George Bell Sr. was born October 23, 1935, in Baldwyn, MS, to Mr. Grover Bell and Nealie Bell. He was a member of White Hill M.B. Church in Tupelo where he served as a deacon for 32 ½ years. He is survived by his wife Linda Bell of Tupelo; (5) daughters, Margaret Bell of Oxford, Jacqueline Bell and Zandria Bell of Tupelo, Natalie Ezell (Oliver) of Fairfax, VA, Minda Bell of Verona; (1) goddaughter Myrna Lauderdale; (3) sons George Bell Jr. of Saltillo, Christopher (Karla) Gilliard of Madison, MS, Sanders Bell of Verona, MS; 1 godson, Victor Fields of Memphis, TN; 2 brothers Elotis Shumpert of Nettleton; Charlie Bell of Tupelo; seventeen grandchidren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 aunts Beatrice and Evelyn Hurd.
