?On Tuesday morning ,February 28,2017 God called Mrs Flora Powell Stephens, a faithful, joyful solider gone home to rest.Flora was born on May 2,1941 to the late Byrd C Powell and Mary Rupert Powell. Flora accepted Christ at a early age  and later  became a member of North Green St Church of Christ .Flora is preceded  in death by the late James Williams Stephens, Sr two children her parents;four sisters Byrd Lee Owens, Beatrice Jones,Ethel Mae Burns and Mary Goulding;five brother Dave Lee Burns,Jimmie Lee Powells, Byrd C Powell, Jr Wilson Powell, and Robert Burns.Flora's memories will live on through her children:Julia Owens(Howard) James Stephens(Georgia),Anthony Stephens(Regina),Amory McCoy ,all of Tupelo and Shannon,Ms her beloved grandchildren: Howard Owens,Jr(Natasha)Tasha Jackson (James) Priscilla Owens,James Williams Stephens III,Rico Garmon,Vincent Grey,Chris Holmes,Corey Holmes Travarous Beckley,Micheal McCoy,Tierra McCoy, Ladarius Townsend and 13 great-grandchildrenShe also leaves her beloved sister,Ella Byrd one brother Ovas Powell,Sr two Uncles  Henry Rupert(Minnie) and Willie Rupert(Vada) one Aunt ,Clara Staples a host of nieces ,nephews,and cousins and friends
