On May 10th a precious baby girl was born in Plantersville ,Ms to the late William and Roberta Ruff and her parents named her Earnestine .Her soul set sail from this life ane entered into enternal life on Sunday ,August 21,2016 At an early age Earnestine professed her faith to Jesus Christ at Palestine UM Church and lived a life of genuine love and service until she transitioned into glory. Earnestine attended Simms High School in Nettleton,Ms She wa united into holy matrimony to Harold Hicks. Of this union a son Rodney Hicks was born in 1972 later on in life Earnestine unitedin holy matrimony to Joseph Ivy and of this union one son was born Joseph Jr .Earnestine was employed at Reeds Manufacturing until she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 1966.on August 21,2016 God called his precious daughter home where she is now rejoicing with her loved ones who transitioned before her.she was preceded in death by her father and mother William and Roberta Ruff five brothers James Perry Ruff, William Mose Ruff, Sammie Ruff,Cecil Ruff,and Carl Ruff and one nephew Jimmy Westbrook. A Homegoing service Celebration"honoring Earnestine's life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday August 27,2016 at Paltstine United Mehodist Church in Nettleton with Rev Maurice McIntosh officiating and Joseph Ivy Certfied Lay Servant,will bring the eulogy.Burial will be in the Center Hill Cemetery in Plantersville.Earnestine is survied by her two sons, Rodney L. Hicks and Joseph L.Ivy,both of Nettleton, Ms three sisters Eddie Mae Westbrook of Verona,Ms Ms Jerleane Morgan of Memphis, TN Earlene Ausborn-White(Roland) of Nettleton,Ms two brothers Ben C Ruff(Theresa) of Dorsey, Ms and Glenn Ruff(Linda) of Chicago,IL five grandchildren(Jaquante Spratt,Aubrey Hicks,Fatashe Hicks,Teleah Braddock and Keondra Thomas) two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews and cousins
