Charlie was born March 20, 1920 to the late Charlie and Irene Wren. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Johnson Chapel MB Church, where he remained until death. He was a member of the male chorus. He was a Sunday School teacher. He was a member of Prince Hall Mason Wilson Chapel Lodge #350 in Shannon. In his younger years he played for the Negro League in baseball. He also served in the army in 1943. Survivors: Include (1) daughter & caregiver Jeannette Berry(Tupelo); (1) sister Lorean May(Detroit, MI); (4) granddaughters Betty (Curtis) Rogers, Dorothy (Brant) Vaughn, Deloris (Leonta) Nabors, Ashley (Autravis) Richey; (1) step granddaughter Sheree Clark(Chicago); (1) step grandson Terry Clark; several great grandchildren & great great grandchildren and a host of neices, nephews, relatives and friends.
