Annie was born February 7, 1956 to James Shaw, Sr. and Mary Jane Shaw. She accepted Christ at an early age at Gibson Street Church of God in Eupora, MS. She later joined Temple of Compassion and Deliverance, where she was a devoted member until her death. To her son's friends she was known as Ms. Helen. Helen was a Girl Scout leader for the Tupelo Housing Authority mentoring teens for 4 years She worked with the Helping Hands club, and organization located in Eupora, MS and founded by her father to offer financial assistance to families in need. She was a foster mother for the past 14 years. Two of the foster kids became her sons (Jamal & Phillip). Helen was briefly employed at the Tupelo Housing Authority and the Northside Boys and Girls Club. Helen along with her sister founded , saved, and concerned a youth fundraising auxiliary at Temple of Compassion & Deliverance Church. She was a serv safe certificate holder which enabled her to cook at Temple of Compassion & Deliverance Parkhill Quickstop. Helen leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Mary Jane Shaw Quinn (Zebedee) of Maben, MS; her grandmother, Lillie Mae Eiland of Louisville, MS; one daughter, Shalunda Shunta Shaw Hoskins of Tupelo, MS; six sons Demetrius Andrae (Dondreia) Blanchard, Demond Arnez (Taisha) Blanchard, Phillip "Peter" Gunn, Louis Vontrell Conley, Lorenzo Keith Conley (special friend Brianna Smith), and Jamal Thomas Conley all of Tupelo, MS; one brother James Arthur Shaw Jr. (fiancee Bobbie) of Eupora, MS; one sister Mary Anne Shaw Pryor of Tupelo, MS; two sister in laws, Leslie Powers Shaw (the late Rodney Nelson Shaw) of Tupelo, MS, and Darlene Powers of Starkville, MS; twelve grandchildren; one great granddaugther; one niece; four nephews; three great nieces and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her father, a brother Rodney Nelson Shaw, and a niece Tonya Regina Jones. .
