    Elder Benjamin Allen

    October 19, 1965 - March 21, 2022

Elder Benjamin (Benji) Lee Allen, son of Paul Lawrence Allen, Sr. and Margaret Jane Ward Allen, was born on October 19, 1965 in Kansas City, Kansas. He departed this life on March 21, 2022 at NMMC in Tupelo, Mississippi. Benji’s grandmother, Vera Vermont Manier was an integral part of his early life due to his mother’s passing when he was eight months old. Benji was anointed in singing at the age of three and began singing and leading songs in church. His grandmother recognized his curiosity to play the guitar and began to teach him chords at the age of four. At the age of sixteen, he was called into the ministry and preached his first sermon at Faith Mission in Kansas, MO. In 1989, at a revival in Texas, he met Bishop Larry Crump and followed him to Victory Temple Outreach Ministries, Inc. in Amory, MS. In 1999, he became a member of Faith Revival Center where he met his wife of twenty-two years and later became the Pastor of Second Chance Outreach Ministries. Then, he became a minister at Faith Deliverance Apostolic Church, where he was a faithful servant to the end. Benji was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: James Everett Allen, Robert Lamar Allen, and Larry Eugene Allen. Besides his loving and devoted wife Chiquita Allen, those left to cherish his memory are his five sons: Benjamin Allen, Jr. of Texas City, TX; Rashad Allen (Sheridan) of Saltillo, MS; Davonta Allen of Webster, TX; DeAndre Allen and Emmanuel Allen of Tupelo, MS. Brothers; Paul Allen, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; John Allen (Wendy) of Kansas City, KS; Vernon Allen (Brenda) of Carrollton, TX; three sisters; Beverly Carter (Michael) of Rowlett, TX; Cheryl Roney (Barron) of McDonough, GA; Shirley Palm of Glen Burnie, MD; seven grandchildren; two bonus daughters: Tyrhonda Beckley (Detricke) and Kalai Daniels (Lance)a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, many other loving relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers please bring hygienic items to donate towards Salvation Army/Homeless...in honor of Elder Benjamin Allen, thank you!
